Putting in the new stereo today I had to drop the gauges. While doing so I cracked the line at the guage. Of course I didn't discover it until after I fired up the engine. Is there anything I can do other than some standard carpet cleaner?

Use Resolve, or Spot Shot, these are carpet cleaners in spray cans, you can get it at any store, works great.

Same thing happened to me. I used lots of "Simply Green" and clean rags to blot up the oil. It did not appear to discolor the carpet. The oil came right up.
