Just had my buckets recovered. Man they look great. The guy who recovered them wasn't able to put on the headrest locks. The ones I purchased had two screws that went down on either side, through the cover and the lock into the frame.
Unfortunatley the ones on the seats had the mounting screws on the sides and the front and rear screws only held on the trim cover.
The locks do not have the wedge shaped button but a wire with a round knob at the end.
Any advice on this? Do I have the wrong A body seats?

I had the same problem. I was told that you're supposed to use the original bases from the original headrest locks. Unfortunately, the repro lock screw holes don't line up and even if they did the lock wouldn't look good because the base would show because the repros aren't recessed. The only way I see to use the reproductions is to make new thin bases with 4 holes. Two holes for the long style screws and two smaller holes to screw the new locks into. Haven't had time to do this to mine yet, I put the old faded ones back on for now. Good luck.

Hotrod98,

Doesn't that suck. If they know they don't work they shouldn't list them as such. I am going to do some more looking but if I come up empty I work at a manuafcturing plant. Guess I will just make a set of plates for myself.
