hey guys just bought square dome light bezel complete to install in 70ss but there is no bracket to fasten to in top, wiring is there, seems to be something missing because the four holes in bezel dont match to anything in ceiling.can someone tell me how this fastens.

I just took my headliner off last week..

I have a round dome light so maybe it's different..

But before i took it off, it was allright..
When i took it off, the bezel is "dancing" http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif

I believe that the headliner sould be the one holding the bezel because it is stretched and it hold the bezel..

That's the way it was in my car..

trim screws hold the base to the roof of the car, there is a horizontal support (brace) that goes across the roof between the headliner rods. I may have a jpg of this not sure.

I think i found the bar or,"hump" as it seems to be and there are two screw holes across from each other about 1-1/2 inches apart but i still dont see anyting to match up to the four hole pattern in the square bezel i have which is suppose to be the one for a 70 chevelle if you have a pic that may help, this car has a new headliner in it and i'm trying not to mess it up but i wanted to put the dome light in since the wires are there.i hope i'm in the right spot which is directly in line between the seat backs.

Jeff, check your email. You should be able to push up on the headliner and feel where this mounts to, hopefully the photo will help some

Thanks leeds for the great picture,i can see how it works now.the main problem i had was that one of the headliner bars ran right next to hump on the back side which made it not easy to feel.your picture also helped me to locate where the shoulder strap bracket and hooks fasten to roof which someone failed to replace also.thanks again for the pic.
