The angle of my bucket seats is to steep for my liking. I've replace the rubber stops and I'm wondering what other's have done to make the seat angle more upright.

Not sure what the problem is Steve. My seats are very upright on my 70.

Steve,

I've seen this topic before on this site [but maybe not in this cat?]. In any case, I think that most folks who responded said that they added some washers and or spacers of some kind along with new rubber bumpers and that seemed to help....

Could be that your seat back frame itself is bent... All the factory buckets I've had sit very upright with the seat back bumper in place.

I usually have had to remove that bumper to get it to sit back far enough for me....

Hi Steve, i had the same problem but mine was a bench seat. I ended up taking off the upholstery. The metal frame work had bent and cracked from years of service. I did a little welding on them, reinstalled the covers and now they are perfect. No more leaning way back.

Well in the bay area some would kill to have fixed seats like that... They could then ride along with their "gangster lean" haha

just kick one hand up to the top of the wheel and go cruisin

Steve, I had the same problem, felt like if I hit the gas to hard I would end up in the back seat. What I did was put a half inch spacer on the rear bolts to the floor pan were the seat mounts, worked great. If you raise the bumper too much the seat latch won’t catch.
