Anyone got detailed instructions on how to pull a 72 round gauge dash? They say it's easy, I don't know. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

It is simple, There are 5 bolts that hold the housing in. There are 2 bolts on each side that are easy to find. The 5th bolt is directly above the steering column. The easiest way to get at that bolt is to remove the 5 bolts holding the steering column to the floor and then removing the 2 nuts on either side of the column. Once the 5 bolts are out, disconnect the wires and yank it our CAREFULLY!

Don't forget the one in the center, behind the dash pad. The dash pad has to come out to get at it.

Thank you so far, now, how do I pull the dash pad? I'm not a moron, I just don't wanna break something by not getting a fastener out. Thanks so far!

There should be ~6 screws holding the pad in place. Two are at the top of the glove box door and the other screws are at the top of the instrument cluster. The rear of the pad is held in place by clips. After the screws have been removed, pull the dash pad up and towards you. Don't lose the clips. They like to fall into the defroster duct.

How did you post the link to the picture of your car on your signature?

First: Your picture has to be on the net somewhere. Second: use the correct code and path in your signature e.g.(URL=http://www.chevelles.com/showroom/yourfolder/yourcar.jpg]My Chevelle[/URL) Replace the surrounding parens with brackets [] instead and you're good to go.

along with all the bolt removals. Unbolt the fuse box from the firewall, unhook the door pin switches. unbolt ac control head from the dash (kinda tough to do &must be done from the top after dash pad is removed) then whole assy will come out wires and all. Take your time and have a helper with you I did mine by myself and anothe rpair of halds is a great help.
