What is the best way to remove the paint from these pannels? I know it will varry depending on what type of paint is on them, but is there any method that will remove most types of paints without destroying or deforming the texture of the pannels?
I heard brake fuid will? Has anyone tried this method? Sand blasting leaves to rough of a finnish and removes some of the texture.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

On the hard plastic like dashes and consoles oven cleaner works well. Test a small spot first to see what happens. If it is bonded well just prep and paint over it. If it is a dye there may not be anything that will remove it.

You could probably use laquer thinner. I used this on my upper and lower radiator hoses as well as fan shroud. It worked great. I don't remember if I used it to clean the kick panels, but I probably did. I use laquer thinner to clean almost everything.

Thanks the oven cleaner does a good job! It leaves them with a milkey look, but I will be paint/dyeing them anyway.
Thanks again!!
