'69 non tilt, floor shift
entire ignition switch with key keeps falling out of column housing. any help/ideas on how to keep it in? obviously something isn't "catching"....

Flye, There is a small tab on the top back side of the cylinder that sticks up and locks cyl. inside column. Sometimes that sticks and needs to be lubed with WD40 or grafite to free up.
It's possiable that entire cylinder needs to be replaced.There available at parts houses or lock smiths.
The worse case is the inside of column is stipped out,but I doubt it. That usally only happens when some one rips it out when they steal car. hope this sheds some light. Jim
