I just bought a 72 chevelle convertible. The power top starts to go up then stops, the pump keeps running, I was told it needs fluid. How do I do this. I appreciate any help and ideas.

It probably needs to be bled. Sounds like there is air in the system. Don't rule out cracked and brittle hydraulic lines -- it happens on older convertibles. Do a search on Chevelle Tech--there are a few good postings on how to bleed the top system. Good luck!
