I've checked the plastic covers over pretty good, but cant figure out how to take them apart. mine are green and I need to dye everything black. I plan to use vinyl dye on the plastic covers and black shoe polish on the webbing. are these easy to take apart? its in a 69. thanks

Look on the sides with the bottom faceing up, metal pins will be just sticking out of the metal bottom part. push them in with an ice pick. plastic cover off.
