I have a question for any one who know about the dashbard. I'm looking to take my 1969 El Camino keeping the outside the same so it will look like an old El Camino but on the interior I want to change the seats from bench seat's to bucket seats. And I was thinking that maybe I can take the dashboard and take it to an all digital dash. I think this would make the dash and hole interior make a lot cooler and it will make the whole car stand out more. Does any one know a very ceap place to make these cool changes.
Thanks

I think Dakota digital makes a setup for '69 Chevelle/El Caminos.

Going to buckets, if you want cheap, don't go with the original buckets. I've invested $800+ in mine and still have a few things to go.
I'd look at a scrapyard for a 3rd gen Camaro. I've seen those seats in a few Chevelles on here and they look good.

Hey 1969Elcamino, I live in the Charlotte area myself & it's good to find another '69 Elky. I too am planning on swapping out the bench for buckets. Seriously considering finding Honda Accord seats to mount up. Obviously there will be some bracket fabrication to be done. I am going to keep the same dash set up, just going to replace the dash pad & bezel with new ones. Check out El Camino Central (http://www.elcaminocentral.com) for any and all Elky info. It is a great site with lots of knowledgable & friendly folks just like Team Chevelle. Only difference is it focuses soley on Elky's. Look for me in the Region 5 section of the site. As info. we are planning a get together for June 12. It's a great chance to pick up on some Elky info. first hand!
