Can anyone tell me where I can get the headliner sealing trim for a 70 Chevelle Coupe? I can't find them in any catalog. I need black. Also I just bought the car and the headliner is installed using large metal edging bands screwed in along the roof line. Is this correct as it does not seem like the molding pieces (which I am missing) would cover htese.

Lonnie,
The way youa re discribing the headliner installation sounds right. There are large metal plates that are bolted to the body and the headliner material is streached over them. The molding that you are talking about is called windlace, and those pieces are not reproduced for the 68-72 cars. If you do not have your original ones, then you have to start looking for used. I know the Parts Place will have some used ones for you. Good luck. Parts place number is 630-365-1800.

Andrew,
Thanks! I'll stop searching every catalog known to man kind!! I looked at the metal edge pieces again tonight and the turkey who installed the liner put them over the headliner instead of stretching the headliner over them...probably because he lost the vinyl trim. Thanks again!!
