mike 70 Sep 13th, 99, 6:54 PM i have a 1970 ss with a/c and i want to replace the front windshield.the windsheild i have in there now is not nos. did the window in a 1970 come clear or tinted and did that matter if i had a/c? in other words what is the correct windshield for a 1970? DG Sep 13th, 99, 7:01 PM I believe if you car had factory air then it got the tinted glass. My 70 Malibu had factory air and tinited glass. Take a look at your side glass and back window, you should be able to see the LOF logo. They're still in business, and I think your windshield is still available. If so, your windshield was also tinted. The 2 tint options in 70 were: A01 Soft Ray Tinted Glass, all windows. A02 Tinted Glass, windshield only. I ordered A01 so my side & rear are also tinted.
