does anyone know of insulated tops. i have '67 malibu that i put a "royal" brand on maybe 6 years ago. it has lasted ok except i had to replace the plastic window cause the zipper broke. but boy is it noisy. it's on tight, doesn't get that bubble look with the windows up, but just kinda roars. the car is quieter with the top down. the roof that was on it when i got it was like canvas and i don't recollect it being that loud, although i probably didn't drive as fast before resto. thanks, bg

My 69 also is louder with the top up. The enclosing keeps in the exhaust noise and other noise. I have not seen insulated tops in many many years. But I have seen local upholstry shops do canvas type tops, specifically I saw a local shop do a Grey Tweed convertible top on a 68 camaro that was nice and thick.
