Can anyone direct me to images of a front bench seat for a 70 malibu? I'm not sure if the bench seat I have is original since it has a fold down arm rest between the seats. All of the images I've seen of 70 bench seats are w/o the fold down center arm rest.

I've never seen a Chevelle seat with a fold down armrest but I do wish mine had it. I DONT THINK yours is original. You can see part of my seat in my signature pic.

Pontiac, Oldsmobile & buick all had bench seats with the center fold down arm rest, Although Chevy never did. It's likely you have a seat out of one of a BOP A-body car...

Those seats are VERY desireable, and you can get reproduction seat covers for them too- they just won't be the Chevy 1970 design seat covers....

Is it possible that chevy offered the center armrest in the four door chevelles? My folks had a four door 70 when I was around 7 years old, and I seem to remember that armrest. Although it could have been a BOP replacement too.

FWIW, I once owned a '71 Chevelle with a bench seat fold-down center armrest. Don't know if they were original or not, however they looked and had the grain just like the '71 Chevelle seats without a fold-down armrest.

Since we are all taking about these early 70s bench seats....
Does anyone know what is necessary to install the headrests on my 66 bench?
