How do you remove the chrome vent knobs on the kick panels? I can't get them off to put new ones on. I don't want to replace the entire pull cable, just get the knob off.

Mike this is pretty much one of those destroy to remove operations. I crushed mine with a pair of pliers and then twisted off the old knob. My new knobs were loose on the metal they attach too so I epoxied them back on.

Without going the el destructo route you will have to remove the screws holding your kick panels on, and disconnect the other end of the cable and pull the whole shebang out through the front. The cable ends are curled into a circle and slip over the top of some pins that actuate the side vents.

Thanks guys. I carefully cut mine and removed. Then pushed on new ones. I got the new ones from Ground-Up and they look and fit great.
