I tried doing this one time because i plan on painting it black but i just could not get the sucker out. I took out all the bolts i saw but it was still connected somewhere around the steering wheel. Does anybody have any tips or know what this might be, thanks

When you remove the steering column, There is 1 more sheet metal bolt that runs up vertically right where the column would seat up at the bottom part of the dash!Good luck!

Do a search of previous posts and you will find detailed instructions.

Just agreeing with scotty, lower the steering column by removing the two bolts and you will see a vertical bolt fastened to the dash. I believe there is a total of 6 bolts to secure the entire dash.

Don't forget the speedo cable attached to the back. This one got me on the first dash I removed. Took me a little while to figure it out because I didn't see it at first.

And if you have a column shifter, make sure you unfasten the "thread" that attaches the column to the shift indicator.
