I am having trouble locating upholstery for my husband's 66 chevelle 4dr sedan. Wouldn't the bench seats in a 2dr be the same size as the 4dr?

Us the headliner different for 4drs?

Thank you

The seats for the 4 door are similar to the 2 door but not the same. Obviously the split in the seatback for 2 door models is the big difference. It may take some tracking down of some seat material and getting it stitched by a competent upholstery shop or at least some modification of a 2 door interior kit. This could be a little problematic if the material doesn't have the same dye lot (some colours may be easier to match than others).
As for the headliner I believe the 2 & 4 door sedans (11 & 69 body styles) used the same headliner, however the actual material varied between the 300/300 deluxe and Malibu models (if you're a purist). If your 4 door is a hardtop style (39 style) then it is different. The most popular body style is the sport coupe (17 style) and is the easiest to find the headliner for. I am not speaking from experience (yet) but there may be enough spare material in the form of overhange that you in fact may be able to trin it to fit your body style. I'm not an expert on this so please check with a reputable and knowledgeable supplier (Ground Up? -[plug plug] they help pay this site's bills)
