Dave,
I have bought these springs several times over the last few years. Year One, Original Parts Group sells them and I bought a complete top and bottom for both buckets in my 66 SS396 about two months ago. They are not cheap but if you want to save alot of headaches I would change them. My 66 had been in a leaky barn for over 15 years and water and mice had done a number on the seats, the springs were rusted and broken. I pulled off all the vinyl and foam and springs then sandblasted the seat frame and reinstalled the new springs. Then I delivered the seats with the new foam and the upolsterey kit I had ordered to the shop to be installed. The springs I just purchased were from Jim Dyer Classics in Stockton Calif.
