Im puting my car back together and wondering if anybody knows what steering columns will fit my 64. This car had a column shift and I am using a floor shifter. Have already looked at IDIDIT and i like them other than preety $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. I am going to the swap meet in pamona next weekend to buy parts and thought I would look into a steering column there. I think the best solution to your problem is to remove the shifting lever and then shave off the knuckle. Then grind to the general contour of the column and fill the remaining hole with a piece of foam sponge. Then apply body filler and sand smooth and repaint! Viola! Floor shift column at minimum expense!
