I own a 1972 El Camino, It has a 350 with a Holley 4160, 600cfm carb. The problem is that when I hit the gas real fast the car bogs or hesitates like it wants to stall. Then I back off or will stall and it goes like hell until I hit the accelorator fast again. It does not do this when I hit the gas with normal steady pressure, (not real fast). When I bought the car it was a dead stock 350 2bbl that had 69000mi. I replaced the 2bbl with a Edelbrock Preformer intake, and a Holley 4160, 600cfm carb at 70000mi.
At that time I replaced the cap, rotor, points, plugs, wires, all vacuum lines, pcv, timed the engine, etc. It ran fine for 2000mi and then about 1000mi ago this started happening. I need some answers, please. The car runs great execpt for when you pop the throttle wide open real fast. Also I set the accelorator pump to .015 like the Chiltons manual says.

Thanks in Advance,
Bryan Shook

I would suggest going to the Holley site and getting their tech line e-mail address and ask them. Try [URL]www.holley.com[URL/]
