I have a 454 with a th 350 behind it. It is starting to wear out so I would like to rebuild it instead of replacing it with a th400. Can you recommend a good transmission shop near Los Angeles?

I don't know where in LA you are but there are two vey good ones in the Antelope Valley. Mike's Transmissions in Lancaster and Paul Riley Transmissions in Palmdale. I can get you their phone numbers if you're interested.

I used Mike's trasmission in Lancaster and was so please I cant begin to tell you how much help Mike was to me, he turned an ordinary th400 into a Track star!, he'll ask a lot of questions from you, before he goes to work on your tranny, and when you get it back he will give very detailed answer's about the proper instalation, fluids, temps, etc....."HIGHLY recommended"

The Toy Shop in Pomona is a good shop as well my friend is having a TH-350 built over there for his 65'. It's a couple blocks from the track or the fairplex(pick your location they're next to each other, as you probably already know)
