Anyone have a custom headliner made or know a place that makes/ offers something? Im looking for a clothlike material oposed to the Vinyly stock type. I may rig up something myself pretty soon if I cant find something.

Check with your local upholstery shop.

They should be able to sew up the headliner in just about whatever material you choose. They will need the old headliner as a pattern.
But remember, the heavier the material, the more tendency to 'sag'.

If you are removing the headliner, remember to mark
which hole you remove the rod from.

If i decide to do it myself, or even if I take it to a shop which I probably will end up doing for this project, if the bows are removed the only way Ive heard of people doing so far is using fiberglass as a type of base to upholster on, then attach that to the roof. I could just see it coming out like crap if I do it smile.gif

I wish ACME had a website, I called them. Nice service so far, its $148 for a black cloth headliner and he is sending me some samples and prices. I guess it's fed into the stock bows. So Im wondering is this JUST cut fabric or is it fabric attached to some kind of board? Im just wondering what all I get or what else I may need, and how to install. If anyone has ordered from them or knows it would be greaaatly appreciated!
:D

I had my headliner custom installed (tweed & leather) I had a upholstry shop do it. he made a panel out of wood and upholstred on that. I attempted to do it myself, but after 2 days of trying I took it to a professional.

I'm not sure how to post pics but I could send you some if you want.

Yeah i'd love to see it. My email is Pnutkemist@Yahoo.com I was going to use really really thin metal and tack weld it in so it would all be smooth and wouldnt have to use the bows but it may be trickier than Im thinking.
