: Anyone stare at their screen in wonder?

I get these moods every now and then....how does/do all this stuff appear on my screen?
How does a TV know a remote is talking to it?
Who thought up all the neat stuff?

Just like a new kid...I see things differently right now?????????

Anyone else?

Hey, I get like that all the time. People can explain it to you all you want with scientific stuff, but still. Like what is fire? Really, I know what it is, but what IS it and why does it occur? We can't see infrared so why do we see fire? Stuff like that. BTW, i'm not looking for a scientific explanation of why we see fire http://www.chevelles.com/forum/wink.gif

Man Gandolf, that's good!

I work on pressure washers (steam cleaners) for a meager living. Just today I had to get a burner to work. I did..heh heh...I ALWAYS do! But even though I SAW fire...I can't explain it...

Oh man, just look at how when I tap on these keys, words appear.....

Oh the wonder of it all!!!!!

Dave, you're right...it's this Houston heat man! I have been thinking the exact same thing for nearly two weeks now. In fact, my wife and I were pondering your topic and have concluded that both of our brains have slowly been frying every time we step outside in this 111 degree heat! Jeez, whenz it gonna end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes I'll stare at my keyboard for hours just thinking: How come the space bar is so big?

Wes and Dave I know what you mean about this heat. Our Northern brothers need to send some cooler air this way.
Wes imagine sitting in your car at HRP in a full nomex suit wearing a helmet. Which is what I thought would be fun last Wednesday night. NOT!!!!

Here is one to ponder, water. What other substance can do what it does. It can go from a solid state to a liquid then gas.

They have never found anything that cooled better and without it there would be no earth as we know it.

I watch PBS TV and when ever I see a program about the universe I go into overload. The scientist will say that the universe is expanding. What the hell is is expanding into? My eyes have now rolled back and the headache has begun.
