Was wondering if someone could post for me the part numbers that are on the back of the 65/66 and 67 mag style wheel hubcaps. Many thanks for your help!!!!!

I have an assortment of rough (quite) '65/66, '67/69 & post-'69 mag-style wheel covers that I collected over the years while trying to assemble one decent set. None of the used ones have any part # visible anymore. I did find a part # out of a reprinted 'Custom Features and Accessories for 1967' pamphlet; the part # for the '67-'69 14" style is 987067. It should be obvious when you look, but be aware that there were also 13" versions for use on Covairs and early Chevy IIs (part # 986416). Having said that, I bought a N.O.S. set last year that turned out to be 15" (didn't even know they made 'em). Their part # is 3968716 and is stenciled on the back along with the the word 'Garwood'.

The '65/'66 style uses spokes that go straight out to meet the raised center cap; the '67/'69 style uses gently curved spokes and a flush center cap; the post '69 style is the same as '67/'69 except that they also use matte black paint in the spokes. They also added a 15" size at that time. Also, after '69 the mag-style wheel covers were dealer accessories, not factory.

You know what I suspect? These wheel covers were made by a vendor for Chevrolet, Ford (with a different center cap), Kaiser/Jeep (check out a '67-'69 Jeepster), possibly MOPAR ('67 Dodge & Plymouth). A vendor cranking out wheel covers & wheels for the 'Big Four' (as the U.S. automakers were once called) is normal. Kelsey-Hayes, Motor Wheel Corp. & Budd were all vendors for the automakers. For example I have a 1970 ad for Motor Wheel for their new slotted steel wheel. Chrysler picked them up for '71 & Chevy began using them on their '74 trucks.
