Make sure the mechanisms are not seized up due to rust if you come across one. ------------------ 1967 Chevelle SS 396 sxtysix Dec 24th, 02, 9:27 AM '66 and '67 bench seats are NOT the same. '67's have seat back locks whereas '66's do not. Other than that, they are the same size and will fit. I don't think that the '66 seat covers will fit correctly on the '64/'65 seat frames so I'm pretty sure that to be correct you will have to find a bench seat from a '66. You could look for one out of another '66 GM A body (Skylark, Le mans, Cutlass, etc.) and re-cover it with the correct upholstery. ------------------ 66SS396convertible http://snorlax23.tripod.com/ 1966_L78 Dec 24th, 02, 12:52 PM I wonder how difficult it is to disable the release mechanism? Then the 67 seat could be used and still look like a 66... Althought the added safety feature of the locking back might be nice to have... ------------------ "Once you go RAT, you never go back..."
