i'm building custom door panels for my el camino. i got some cardboard from my neighbor who owns a trim shop and i need some tips on attaching the metal top rail. should i just glue it and clamp it.

After glue didn't hold, I used several poprivets spaced across the top. Check for clearance at each location.

This is the recommended method when you're assembling replacement panels also.
