OPG's new online catalog shows that they are selling Leather Seat Covers, with the same patterns as stock, only leather.... About $700 for a pair of bucket covers...

Anyone have these, or has anyone seen these? They don't have a picture of it on the online catalog.

I'm interested to know if the 1970 covers have the poofy ribs they are supposed to have, that the repop vinyl covers DON'T have.

here is what their online catalog says about them:
This is the ultimate in upholstery kits for Chevelles and El Caminos. They have smooth-grained leather seating surfaces with leatherette sides and backs and come in all the factory correct colors. These kits have the correct patterns for your specific year Chevelle or El Camino, but they're made of leather. The leather upholstery fits and installs just like the originals, including applications for bench and bucket seats.Would really like to see a picture...

I called OPG about these covers, and was asking for a couple of sample pieces ( color match ) and the salesman i talked to did not have very much information about them. He did tell me that they were made by destinctive upholstry? I also called PUI, and talked to Todd on Monday, and asked all of these questions, and he said that he would work on this for his company. He acted like he was interested in doing this for my 67, and said that they had done a few. Todd seemed to be well informed, and willing give them a call?? I will post more when he hollers at me. I keep telling my wife that my car is cheaper than a girlfriend???????

Guys,
You might want to look at getting custom seat covers made and installed. The price in OPG for covers is approx. $1100.00. I had both front buckets and rear seats covered in true top grain leather with the seats rebuilt for $1100.00 and I will bet you that my seats will look and sit better that anything that OPG (or any other seller)will supply.
