My hood don't work.. Iknow the flapper has a bad vac.pod so replaceing that should fix the flap.But how do you know if the inner door is working? Does it only work if the flap works?I know it controled by a switch off the gas pedal but how to test it???
Next.. do 72 ss el camino's use the same exhuast tips as the 70-72 chevelles SS If not what do the tips do turn down by bumper? Thanks Rick

To check the inner door, just turn on the ignition, push the go pedal to the bottom (or just get down on the floor and actuate the switch by hand). If the inner door works, you will hear it---------------------- ,very clearly.

I don't believe El Caminos exited out the rear. They dumped just behind the rear tires. So the answer would be no. Could be wrong....have been before!
