I was wondering if it's a good idea to take down my old headliner before I get a new one or should I wait so I can see how everything goes together?

That's a good question that I would like to know the answer too. I was going to attempt to put mine in, record the process to watch it later. I assume since it comes out one way, do the opposite and put the new one in.

Even if you wait til you get the new one it's VERY important to mark the bows in order and side to side, like with writing on masking tape. And mark the holes they came out of. Each bow has 3 holes on each side it could go in. Make detailed sketches and notes before taking the old one out. Pictures would be good too. It's unreal how much you can forget in just a couple of days, especially if you're old like me.

I just went ahead and did it, it looks pretty simple to put in aside from gluing and trimming. I marked where the bows go and left them in the old headliner for now just in case they're different.
