Does anyone know or have a url to a site that shows the paint/chrome scheme on the console of a 4-spd in '66? Previous owner has completely painted the console black and I'd like to restore back to the original chrome and paint. Specifically wondering about the channels and edging, thanks in advance.

thanks mike, just one more thing, is the bottom and outside part of the channeling chromed? I assume the inside (against the body of the console) is not chromed...correct? Thanks

The chrome edging should cover both sides of the "bead", and some of the bottom of the channel, all smooth areas. This includes the smooth portion around the clock
The paint should start where the grain/texture begins... I do not recall any paint (maybe some minor overspray) on any smooth areas (except the back of the front console portion that is actually the front/inside of the compartment...
