: ignition dash panel

I have a '66 ss. The ignition dash panel (panel with knobs for lights, wipers etc) looks pretty bad. It is black, but a lot of the color is gone &/or faded. It would really help the look of the dash if I replaced it or refinshed it.

I can't seem to find a new one. Should I try to take it off and paint it? How is it held in place?

Thanks,

Gerald

I bought a new reproduction from our sponsor: Ground Up. All the instrument switches (lights, wipers, lighter, & ignition) must be removed first. The strip is held in by several screws from behind.

Or you could have yours replated. There are many places that do plastic replating on the web.
