It should have a set screw in it that you tighten to the switch shaft.

Changed all my dash stuff out little while back.My original didn't have a set screw, and the replacement didn't was tight taking off just had to pry on both side evenly.Went back on tight.Could be a machining defect, asians aren't all that great. If its not all that loose would be an idea how to fix,or get another one different store could be a bad batch they got in.Set screw would work wouldn't make any bigger than a 6/32 and put it on a flat area on the shaft so won't spin on you.Cheaper than buying a new nut and possilbly the switch assy.Is the wiper assy new, different vendors one went on the high side of tolerance the other the low.

if i'm not mistaken on mine it had like a tension clip that you had to take off the old knob and put on the new one

I had the same problem. The original had a clip molded in, the repro one did not. I cut small strips of paper and laid them into the half moon part of the hole in the knob. It took several thicknesses (sp?) but now it fits very snug and can be removed if need be.
Happy New Year everyone!

Wonder if there will ever be a time where the parts will be so shoddy that people will laugh at us for having one of these cars.
