I just got a new set of cheapo PAW valve covers for my 454. the baffle inside interfears with the rocker arm. does anyone know why? or how to cure this problem.
if I make sure that the rocker arm is in its highest position thats all the clearence I need? if I can mount them does that mean they fit? or is it gonna make my valvetrain fail. thanx for the help

Justin,

Had a similar problem with Trans Dapt covers on a 66 SS396. The backs of the rockers were just barely tapping the side of the covers. I swapped on a set of tall Moroso covers & no problems.

No big deal, Just make a ball-pean adjustment to the baffel. After market sheet metal is not as good as it looks. It is hard to beat factory origenal for fit and function.
