I just pulled my tranny dipstck, and all the fluid came our...ooops.. well how much should I add? cause my new dipstick doesnt go down the tube. I need to refil it so I can drive it to the tranny shop with just the tube and no dipstick.thanx justin

Justin, if you have not touched the torque converter, you should put in 4 quarts, It takes a while to suck that last quart in, and may not have reached full 5 qts when I did mine. This is from bone dry, so drop your pan first. I didn't see your previous posts, so I don't know what happened to your dipstick tube. Auto zone sells crome MR gasket tubes with a dipstick for not too much BTW.

Ive never droped a tranyy pan and dont really want to is there anywant around it?
how many quarts does the pan hold?

Try adding a half quart at a time until it will just move in reverse then add one more whole quart and it should make it for a short distance w/ no damage. Generally they won't move forward if they are a quart or more low.
