I had put one of these in my 71, but apparently I had a small leak I was unaware of so it bowed up all over the place.

I was wondering if anyone has tried to ones from National Parts Depot with the tilted 6x9 speaker mounts and third brake light set up.

I don't want the third brake light but I am interested in this panel since I have a pair of nice 6x9s that would be even better tilted my way and I'm hoping this panel is plastic instead of cardboard with vinyl over it graemlins/sad.gif

I have not tried them, but a good set of 6x9's sounds great straight up because the sound comes off the rear windsheild nicely. I have the standard pad with the speaker grill pattern in them and they work grat and do not impead your view.

My stereo guy agrees. The reflected 6X9's will sound better. He was very adamant about this even when I said money was no object. Something about phasing blah blah blah....
