I had the upper dash strip re chromed on my 67 ss. It is now ready for paint but I am not sure on the correct paint or which gloss to use, can any body help me with this. Thanks Big Ed.

Malibu's have studs on the back while the others accept screws into the plastic. I screwed mine up when I painted the semi gloss black. I taped off the outside chrome border, sprayed the black and when I pulled the tape I pulled some of the new chrome with it. I should have "scuffed" the tape before I put it on to take some of the stickyness out of it. To mask off the wiper, lights, and other round bezels use the red little caps from WD-40 cans. They fit over them perfectly! No tape required.
