I'm about to replace the gaskets around the vent windows on my el camino. The gaskets I bought have a white powdery film on them. I thought it was just a powder protectant. Question is, what gets this film off? I'd like to get the gaskets looking black before I install them. I tried dish soap & simple green.
Also Chad Landrys' web page http://www.landry-family.com/Venty1.html motivated me to buy these originally. Does anyone have any further tips? Looks pretty straight forward.
Thanx
