Hi All. My 65 El Camino saw daylight for the first time in 34 years. I bought it new. It has a after market smaller sterring wheel metallic green plastic that is stickey black like old tupperware. Also the green plastic that goes around the doors crimping over the edge of the headliner is allmost as bad. Is there any way of cleaning that goo off??

Well, first try to use something that won't do anything to your parts. Try like simple green, or even windex. Well, let me know what happens. I would like to know incase I come into the same problem with my 64 chevelle ss. graemlins/beers.gif

I had a sport wheel with the same problem. It would stick to you hand everytime you touched it. First I washed it with a mixture of cascade and hot water, dried it good then went over it a couple of times with a clean rag sprayed with WD-40. Then went over it again with a good vinyl cleaner and preservative. Haven't had any problems since graemlins/beers.gif

Best way to clean and easiest is to use shop hand cleaner!!! A small tub of it is like .99 cents at any parts store. It works great.
