What is the brown fuzzy stuff behind the dash in my 70 SS? It looks like most of it may have, at one time, been adhered to the interior side of the firewall. I'm assuming it might be sound deadening material(as per "rb's" question in his post dated 10/8/03), but it's pretty much just laying around loose in all the nooks and crannys behind the dash. Any chance there might be asbestos in that material? :confused:

Its just jute insulation. No asbestos in that stuff. Still probably don't want to breath it though.
