I am swapping a small block powerglide for a big block turbo 400 . I have the engine and trans in the car and have noticed the rear frame mount (trans.) is to far back and seems to be to low. Is there another crossmember I can use or do I have to build one>

the trans mount should work, and you should be able to slide the crossmember back to another set of bolt holes to line up with the trans. Since the 64 wasnt offered with a TH400, you probably have to drill your own holes in the frame.

John - I did this swap on a 65 and I had to cut the mount off the crossmember and weld it on the other side. I didn't have any holes in the frame that would line up with the tranny. I haven't had any problems yet... Good luck. Jeff
