I just picked up a 1967 Chevelle 300 and the dash looks just like my 1966 300 Deluxe. Is this correct?

My question is probably dumb to most Chevelle owners but I was thinking the radio was lower on the dash and with more plastic around it.

When I asked the question I was thinking the 1967 300's got the old 1966 dash and the upscale Malibu and SS got a new design for 1967.

The '66 and '67 dashes are slightly different. The switch spacing is a little different, and the opening for the column is different from year to year. If you want to switch the '66 dash and column to the '67, or vice-versa, you should be ok, but it gets dicey mixing and matching.

If I am not mistaken, the high beam indicator is in a different location on 66 and 67s also.

The speedo number spacing is a little different on the clear plastic bezel but would not be noticeable to the average Joe; and like Blue said, the high beam indicator was moved from the idiot light to the actual speedo gauge. Ignition strip holes are also slightly different as well as steering column opening like Jonathan said above.
