I am planning on installing a new set of window felts (fuzzies) on my 72 El Camino and have never done it before. Can the be installed with the window still in? Inners and outers? Can I just roll the window down and snap out the old and snap in the new?
Thanks in advance!

I cant help with the instalation process for the fuzzies because I never put them in. When I was replacing the weatherstripping on my '66, National Parts Depot wanted nearly 100 for the fuzzies alone. I found this rediculous.
Sorry for the venting. Anyway, good luck.

Roller, The outers (Door) should be attatched with phillips head screws that can be accessed by removing the door panels and loosening the lower glass stop screws. This will allow the glass to be lowered enough to get to them. When finished, return the stops to their original locations in the slots. The inners (top of door panel) were attatched at the factory with staples using a special tool. Straighten the ends to remove them, then reattatch By drilling 1/8" holes for pop rivets. Paint the heads black and they won't be seen.

I think Rick got every thing for installing them, just wanted to let you know the one available from Ted Williams chevelle parts look the best but cost more than others.

I installed them on my 72 El Camino and found that National Parts Depot had the best price, but this was about a year ago.

Straight sections of fuzzie can be purchased through any or most local shops handling weather stripping for older cars. It is a easy process to bend to match original, cut, flatten etc as required then install as per Rich directions. Did this on my 64 and a 47 Chevy, saved a bundle dealing locally.
