I finally got around to re-doing my old dash. The '70 dash was looking mighty worn. OPG contributed the dash lens cluster and the dash black paint. Here are some pics...

Hey, I just noticed someone took my post from Chevelle Tech 2003 and put it in here. Here is the answer I gave from the original post...

The steering wheel was a Christmas present from my wife. She ordered it from OPG as a whole kit page 42, part No. 97CH70 (after I circled the part, tagged the page and left it on the counter with a note that said - "what I want for Christmas"). ;)

I had the same wheel on the first '70 malibu I owned and never forgot it.

Hi,
New guy here. Just bought a '72 Malibu convertible. That steering wheel looks like a stock Vette wheel but I bet OPG sells it for a whole bunch less than the Vette suppliers.

ouble thumbs up on the color!

Green with white stripes is damn sharp! Of course, I'm biased :D

I hope I get to see it at CB03!

Steve...question on your dash refurbishing...I noticed that turn signal dash lights did not have their bezel's painted silver. Is that "correct"?
Great car...great first name.
Thanks, Steve G.

Yes, that is correct. I know I see a lot with the chrome on and that is the first give away to it being restored - in my opinion is what makes it look over restored. I think what happens is that the chrome looks so good that guys get carried away and want to do everything. It is hard to resist...

This shows an original dash. It is a team members car and the best example of what an unrestored LS6 looks like. Thank you Dean Ribich.
