: New Dash SSteve May 20th, 03, 12:33 AM I finally got around to re-doing my old dash. The '70 dash was looking mighty worn. OPG contributed the dash lens cluster and the dash black paint. Here is the answer I gave from the original post... The steering wheel was a Christmas present from my wife. She ordered it from OPG as a whole kit page 42, part No. 97CH70 (after I circled the part, tagged the page and left it on the counter with a note that said - "what I want for Christmas"). ;) I had the same wheel on the first '70 malibu I owned and never forgot it. glenns May 23rd, 03, 9:57 AM Hi, New guy here. Just bought a '72 Malibu convertible. I know I see a lot with the chrome on and that is the first give away to it being restored - in my opinion is what makes it look over restored. I think what happens is that the chrome looks so good that guys get carried away and want to do everything. It is hard to resist... LS6 Benchmark (http://www.ls6benchmark.com/pictures_interior.htm#) This shows an original dash. It is a team members car and the best example of what an unrestored LS6 looks like.
