: What type of adhesive is used to seal door panel water shields? Stikman33 Dec 4th, 02, 7:37 PM Hey guys, i am going about installing my door panels and was wondering what type of adhesive is used to attach the water shields. I know it is a removable type stuff that is just really sticky, cause to can take them off and put them back on again. What type of stuff is this and where would i get it. Thanks a lot. They come in a box of about 60 lin ft in about 12" strips with wax paper backing (peel off, around $10. They are somewhat similar to the windshield caulking strips but cheaper and easier to use. I just walked outside my office into the shop at the lexus dealership i work at. Asked a tech about the stuff and he happened to have a box and a half accumulated from jobs.
