When I got my 71 it had a bench seat in it but it's not for a 71 the middle has a fold down arm rest. What year has this? I like it better then the 71 I just want to get the facts.

Is it a 60/40 split? I am looking at putting one in my EC.

The bench probably is a correct vintage
seat but out of a cutlass or skylark. The
chevelles didnt use the arm rest style seat.
A 69-72 bench seat should work fine, the
earlier ones may work but might not have the
headrests.

I used a 70 Lemansbench for spings and it had the same middle arm rest you describe. I'd check a local swap with ads from that era for Pontiacs, and Buicks. I did the same thing to positively ID a set of 67 Gran Prix bucket seats.

I used a front seat out of a 67 Buick Skylark in my 64 Malibu. Looks great.

I have one sitting in my garage waiting for the $$$ to get it in shape to put back in the car. I have a good bench in there not, the 50/50 split (thanks, Louie!) that's fine, but the 45/10/45 is more comfortable, although it is just a tad wider.

I thought maybe it was a station wagon seat, as it was bolted upright (wouldn't fold forward). Took off the side brackets and it's good to go!

Good luck!
