Hello folks.
This is my first post here and would like any help offered. I am workin on a 68 Elky and want to change the gauges to the 69 model cluster and bezel. The question is will they interchange? I like the round 69s better than the square 68s and since this is a "resto mod" prodject I want it the way I like it best. Does anyone forsee any problems with the swap?

Problems you will encounter are. The ignition switch is on the column on 69, in the dash on 68. The speedo connection is slip on for 69, screw on for 68. The cluster/dash layout is changed enough that the wiring will need mods to accommodate the 69.

In my opinion the easiest way to make the change would be to get the dash harness, steering column and speedo cable, in addition to the cluster/bezel, from a 69.
