I was in the same boat looking for a green 70 Malibu wheel. Finally found a guy in Texas (thru the ads pages on this site) and we traded some parts. I had to settle for a brown one with no cracks. Just need to paint it. Better than $160 for a repop.

Good luck.

DG is right on the money. Find a good used wheel, any colour, and paint it. Saves money and the resto end is fun anyways. Good luck.

Why run? You'll only go to jail tired.

I think this is Jeff Dover a member of this site (going by his email address and location). I do know he has a 69 Malibu.

I've got a Black '69 Malibu steering wheel sitting around.

Its in good shape, ahtough the plasic near the hub itelf is cracked. I didn't notice until i took it off.

I'd let it go cheap, it's just taking up room in my closet.
Let me know if you are interested.

The standard 1969 steering wheel is the same for the Camaro, Chevelle, Nova, and full size cars. Any time you can find an original one that is NOT cracked, it's unusual. At the time I restored my 69 Impala convert, no one was reproducing the wheels, so I got a repair kit from Eastwood Company in PA and redid it myself. Followed the instructions in their book and painted it gloss black out of a spray can. Turned out very nice. After a few years, the cracks began to reappear, but they are very, very small and not really noticeable unless you're looking for them.
