Sorry if this is a stupid question. But has anyone ever heard of or seen a tach that fits in the clock spot of the console in a 66 or 67 Chevelle? The interior of my 66 is a mismatched mess, had been sloppily converted from a bench seat column shift to a console floor shift and I'm trying to tidy up my guage situation by putting a clock back in the dash but now I don't want a second clock in the console. Thanks.

I saw one once in a console years ago, but I don't know how they did it or what it was from. It looked like a GM tach of some kind and didn't look out of place at all.

If the tach has a good bezel, almost any 3 5/8" (?) tach will fit and look good. Careful on the underside that the tach isn't too deep to fit.

I put an autometer tach in my 66 console once... easy, just bent some aluminum pieces and attached then to the tach with a large hose clamp... Looked good, a little awkward to use due to the placement (have to look down to read the tach... eyes off the road).
There might even be some factory types that might fit...
I think the Cutlass & 442 from 65/6/7 used a tach in the console. It's not the best spot for viewing; it's there only to be cute.

WellHell CAM, it sure cant be as bad as the darn blinker. You need a see through arm . So, glancing down isnt too much worse, I can still see past my belly!.
Yeah, and not much worse than a 66's knee knocker tach either.
