We lost a fender on my kids 69 driver thanks to a fool in a mini-van, (they should be banned) Does any one make after market ones?? $400 is steep for a NOS for his beater.

Item number first. Is the driver in the mini-van insured? If yes, then $$$$ is no object, don't let them back you down. Discussion is over. But if no, then you are left to your own resources to locate the best buy.

Last summer I was able to get GM fenders for my 69 SS Chevelle from my local chevy dealer. They are still stamping them, I believe. I do not remeber what I paid for them but it certainly was not $400 per fender!!!!! I want to say it was around 200 each. Call around and if the parts guy says they are unavailable, call somewhere else.

I just checked it out with my Chev parts man. BOTH 69 front fenders ARE still available, 3953853LH/4RH. My cost is 357.53 + tax($25-35 depending on where you live), so about $400 is right for ONE (1). Sorry.
