According to the new catalog, the new pads are made of a fiberglass core with vinyl wrapped foam. Sounds like these are as close to original as they get now. Anyone tried or seen one? How was the fit? This isn't another way of saying URETHANE is it?

cheers,
Mike S.

Haven't seen 'em. Wasn't even aware of 'em but I'll check 'em out. I feel pretty secure it's not a "urethane" product, because the couple of urethane things I've seen...arm rests, dash pads... were solid rubbery urethane through & through. You're right this sounds "close" to original style manufacturing...I hope it turns out to be a good option.

SKIP ;)

Skip, that would be great if you could check 'em out down there and post what you find. Many thanks!

I went to their site, and the dash pads shown mentioned nothing about their construction. I guess I'll make a call this weekend and hope the customer service rep knows anything about the product.

They are made of something that is not OEM, they are much, much heavier than the originals. This is for 70-72 at least, I bought one last year. I had it on, but I ended up taking it off due to the fact that I could not get screws to tap to anchor it down and you can't put the 4 clips on the front to hold it in place against the windshield.
